Comply Pro FAQs

Why use Comply Pro for large supply chain projects?

Using the Comply Pro Interface gives subcontractors (or any users) the ability to enter compliance and assurance information directly into the projects Hosted DOORS database quickly and intuitively.

As the Comply Pro interface sits over the top of hosted DOORS this enables suppliers and subcontractors to 'log in' over the net and view the requirements in context and removes the need to export the data into spreadsheets or word processors for the subcontractors.

Geospatial groups of users are able to input compliance and assurance argument data directly into Comply Pro, which enables a client project manager to obtain a realtime position of the project development progress from client to down to subcontractor document levels.

The traditional process for document 'round trip' or 'data break,' as I like to call it, goes like this:

1) Client exports data to spreadsheet or word processor, for subcontractor

2) Client sends to subcontractor with instructions.

3) Subcontractor receives documentation and starts to complete compliance and assurance responses.

4) After time, the subcontractor sends back to client. (Often accompanied by their own additional documentation)

4) Client reimports the responses from all subcontractors into DOORS.

Aswell as being a time consuming and error prone process, the client would find it hard to obtain development progress statistics past the point of export to subcontractor.
The client will only see the 'true' level of progress once responses from supplier are brought back into client DB.

Comply Pro enables to Client to:

1) Track changes fully from client through to subcontractor

2) Control and communicate changes to high level requirements down through the development layers and into subcontractor workpackages.

3) Obtain 'real time' reports

4) Provide 'total' end to end visibility on project compliance, and progress.

Comply Pro helps subcontractors by:

1) Removing the need to manage spreadsheets and manually reference their reponses to client requirements

2) Entering information whenever and wherever they are, providing they have an internet connection.

3) Providing them with a dynamic up to date 'real time' set of requirements.

4) Quickly recieving high level changes to requirements, to avoid working on out of date data. (occurs frequently when working with spreadsheets)

4) Having 'real time' data, subcontractor (or client) can make more informed decisions.

5) Minimising the need for product training.

Overall, the use of Comply Pro for compliance and assurance on a project or enterprise subscription basis, that has an array of disparate users, has a major positive impact upon:

  • Collaboration
  • Time
  • Quality
  • Cost
