DOORS 8.1 supports external linking.
External linking enables users to link:
- Other DOORS databases (Project, Folder, Module, Baseline or Object)
- Document Management Systems
- Websites
- To DOORS (Project, Folder, Module, Baseline or Object) from external applications using DOORS URLs

The process of a user selecting to follow a DOORS external link into a clients internal DMS, will not circumvent the security policy that has been applied on the network.
