Sir Roy McNulty headlines at Comply Serve Conference

Comply Serve is starting 2012 with a bang as it reveals the agenda for its company conference.

The highlight of the event is keynote speaker Sir Roy McNulty, who will outline how you can achieve the McNulty goal of Value for Money in Rail Projects.  Sir Roy will outline how the tightening of your processes within the project lifecycle can lead to a significant impact when measuring value for money.  He will be demonstrating how a key component highlighted in the report – the need for more collaborative working – can be achieved by using a system such as ComplyPro – Comply Serve’s market leading project compliance and progressive assurance solution.

As well as Sir Roy McNulty, Comply Serve’s key customers will be on hand to show how they use ComplyPro across their projects and supply teams.  They will demonstrate how valuable a tool like ComplyPro can be in larger and complex infrastructure projects where multiple suppliers and project teams are working in tandem.

The exciting agenda will provide you with important software updates and the new processes which are a part of ComplyPro.  ‘The ComplyPro Clinic’ will give you the opportunity to discuss technical queries and see the wider ranges of processes that ComplyPro covers.

It is definitely a date not to be missed and, in keeping with the importance of the announcements, Comply Serve has chosen an outstanding venue.

The London Transport Museum will play host to the Comply Serve Conference on Tuesday 10th January 2012.  The closest tube stations are Covent Garden and Strand.

The event starts at 9.30am with the presentations getting underway at 10:00am.  The day will culminate in a gala dinner at the same venue.

How Europe’s largest civil engineering project is using the Cloud to help deliver what its client expects.

A major cause of project delays and overspend can be the failure to accurately assure and record compliance requirements.  Typically the methods for completing compliance requirements on a project are manually derived and paper-based. Due to the sheer size of projects and number of contractors this can prove to be an administrative nightmare.  Often it is only realised too late that there have been compliance failures and non-conformance to regulations which leads to expensive rework and penalties, further increasing the cost and delaying the project.

Comply Serve offers a unique, web-based project compliance solution called ComplyPro, which is most effective in large and complex infrastructure projects due to its ability to manage security and data access down to contract level, and for specific processes. One of the key advantages of ComplyPro is ensuring that the evolving project specification delivered to the project team is always the current version, mitigating the risk of contractors working on out-of-date versions and making costly mistakes.  Compliance and assurance requirements supported by key processes are monitored, recorded and signed-off progressively throughout the project on the collaborative web-hosted system ensuring maximum control of both the project and the suppliers activities.

ComplyPro has been deployed on a number of high profile, international infrastructure projects such as Crossrail, East London Line, Etihad Rail and Banedanmark.  ComplyPro is helping Crossrail to achieve their goal of building a safe and performant railway system – on time.

Comply Serve attends leading Australian rail exhibition

Comply Serve recently exhibited at AusRAIL – the only rail event to have the official endorsement and active participation of the main railway associations in Australasia and the broad support of the rail industry.  During the three days, speakers from all over the world delivered presentations on cutting edge developments and the very latest innovations essential to the future of rail.

It was a highly successful event for Comply Serve and over the three days we met with a number of government-led rail organisations, and senior figures of a large number of construction companies, all of whom expressed a keen interest in ComplyPro and how it can help their organisations achieve an efficient compliance and progressive assurance regime within their projects.

Don Cameron, Sales Director at Comply Serve said “We had a fantastic level of interest from everyone we met at the show and our product ComplyPro was extremely well received.  We look forward to following up on the interest shown and securing additional customers in this market.”

Electrifying Adelaide’s railways with ComplyPro

Construction solutions provider Laing O’Rourke has chosen ComplyPro to manage its project compliance and assurance needs for the Adelaide Electrification Project; a project to electrify over 100 km of train line between Adelaide, Seaford, Gawler and Outer Harbor.  The project is part of a $2.6 billion programme of works over ten years to transform Adelaide’s network into a vibrant, state of the art and sustainable system, providing faster, cleaner, more frequent and efficient services for commuters.

The electrification project by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure will see a major overhaul of South Australia’s passenger rail network and is one of the most complex undertaken by the South Australian government.

Laing O’Rourke is one of a group of major contractors who have been awarded an element of the project.  Their section of the project concentrates on installing the concrete masts, overhead wiring, communications, signalling, earthing and bonding for the length of the tracks.

The need for a specialist project assurance system such as ComplyPro arose due to the complexities of the project.  The initial project specification included five thousand requirements and these were being added to and constantly amended.  With multiple contractors working simultaneously on the project, it is imperative that all contractors are working to the correct version of the specification whilst managing any hazards or risks.

The ComplyPro solution ensures collaborative working on large scale programmes of work and is particularly effective when dealing with multiple project teams in disparate locations.  ComplyPro will work with Laing O’Rourke to handle the specification development throughout the project, ensuring the teams are always viewing the latest version.  ComplyPro will ensure that all of the project requirements are proactively recorded, managed and assured throughout the project lifecycle.

A key feature of ComplyPro is it's Hazard Management process.  Laing O’Rourke will easily link each requirement to the risk and hazard controls that are required to ensure that there is no risk to the contractors working on the project – or to the general public once the project is completed; a key consideration for a project of this magnitude.

Another major benefit of using ComplyPro is having all regulatory and specification requirements recorded at project end, ensuring traceability and an audit account throughout, thereby allowing the railway to enter into service quickly, efficiently but above all safely.

CEO of Comply Serve Chris Rolison said “We are delighted to be working with Laing O’Rourke on the Adelaide Electrification Project.  We have developed ComplyPro as the ideal solution to manage compliance and assurance for large infrastructure projects.  Being involved in such a major transport project for the South Australian government and Laing O’Rourke allows us to share our experience of similar projects around the globe.”

Comply Serve exhibits at leading infrastructure show

Comply Serve recently exhibited at The Infrastructure Show 2011 held at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham. The show provided an opportunity for civil engineers and project managers across the road, rail air and utility infrastructure industries to explore the latest products and services within their industry and keep abreast of best practice and innovations.

Comply Serve took the opportunity to showcase its flagship product, ComplyPro, which was initially developed for use on major transport projects such as Crossrail and East London Line Project. As the product has developed it is now sold into other major infrastructure projects within the aviation and utility markets. The Infrastructure Show provided the ideal platform for Comply Serve to be able to reach out to these new markets and promote ComplyPro as the compliance and assurance solution of choice for major infrastructure projects.
