| Largest rail project in the world chooses ComplyPro |
|
Etihad Rail has chosen project compliance and assurance leader Comply Serve to record and track the project assurance processes of its USD$11bn project, considered to be one of the largest rail projects in the world. Pursuant to Federal Law no. 2 of 2009, Etihad Rail was formed with a mandate to manage the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national railway. The railway will be built to link the principal centres of population and industry of the UAE, as well as to form a vital part of the planned GCC railway network. The railway will also connect the UAE to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the West and Oman in the East. One of the aims of the railway is to enable the rapid transport of passengers and freight, opening up new trade corridors and journey opportunities. Once complete, it will redefine logistics and transport in the region, providing as a safe, efficient, sustainable network. Stage 1 of the project will cater for freight but the completed network will carry passenger services. Large parts of the railway will run through tough desert conditions and will therefore be built to exacting standards ensuring frequent and reliable services. Etihad Rail commented “The Etihad Rail project is moving at a substantial pace and we have chosen ComplyPro to help manage some of the complex engineering processes and requirements needed on a project of this size and scale.” The ComplyPro solution ensures collaborative working on large scale programmes of work and is particularly effective when dealing with multiple project teams in disparate locations. ComplyPro will work with Etihad Rail to ensure that the project requirements are proactively recorded, managed and assured throughout the project lifecycle. At project end, this will ensure that all regulatory and specification requirements are recorded thereby allowing the railway to enter into service quickly, efficiently but above all safely. ComplyPro will also work to assist teams in hazard log management, safety assurance, tender management, compliance with Client brief, and the management of project assumptions. Etihad Rail added “Comply Serve has already worked in a number of complex rail projects and have the experience we were looking for.” Comply Serve’s CEO Chris Rolison said “We are delighted to be working with Etihad Rail on a project that will shape rail infrastructure in the Middle East. We will bring our experience of working on similar infrastructure projects to assist Etihad Rail in building a world-class railway in the UAE.” For further information please contact Parm Jalaf on 0121 452 5042 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
